Paris Apartment Info Listings

We offer information on:

Classifieds: These are sites where classified ads about short and long-term rentals are displayed, usually by the owners. You then contact the owner directly to negotiate the terms. Classified ads are usually, but not always, the most reasonably priced, as there is no middle-man. On the other hand, if things go sour, you have no particular recourse.

Agencies: Rental agencies range from mom-and-pop enterprises with a few studio apartments to full-scale conglomerates renting hundreds of properties. Some agency sites allow multi-criteria searches, so you can plug in your preferred dates, locations, etc. – although beware that the availability showing on the site may not be fully up-to-date. Also not that many agencies charge a commission for medium or long-term stays, and this commission regularly runs from 33% to 100% of one month’s rent. When doing searches, be sure to choose the “furnished” (or “meublé”) option, if there is one; for longer term rentals, you don’t want to arrive to find the apartment is not furnished (unless that is what you’re after.)

Hotel-apartments: Although usually not ideal, in a pinch you might consider a hotel-apartment. While somewhat sterile in their décor, they offer kitchen facilities and a sitting area. They are easier to book than an apartment (as they can often be booked online, like a hotel).
